Brother's Keeper Genealogy Software Brother's Keeper is used by many Mennonite Genealogists and is recommended by the California Mennonite Historical Society as one of the fastest programs around for large databases. This program, written by John Steed, is entirely text-based so don't expect any fancy graphics or colorful screens. The author provides very good support for his software. Considered by many to be the pre-eminent genealogy package, Brother's Keeper is lean and tough as database programs go. You can download it from this site and try it out. It's shareware so you will have opportunity to try it and then pay for it if you like what you see.
